Is Child Support really the best interest of the child or is it just greed?

OK, so I know you guys are probably thinking about what the hell am I talking about. If the man is the father, he is obligated to pay child support, that is, if he is not married to you. The satisfaction of getting that check every week..$140, $150, $170 per week, feels good because you know that you and your child will eat for that week. I mean, it cannot replace the natural bond of a father and a child, but hey, beggars can't be choosers, or can they.....? For many that would argue, child support is in the best interest of the child. The mother (or the father is some cases) has to make sure that the child is fully clothed, has food to eat and a roof over their heads. Now, it is one thing to argue that when the mother knows who the father is or a DNA has been proven. But what about those mothers that falsely accuse an old boyfriend or fling that the baby is theirs, knowing damn well that the baby is not theirs? She goes to court, files for child support because government assistance is not enough to keep up with her hair appointments, picks a name out of the hat, and then..BANG! The next thing you know, there are garnishments that has taken half of this poor guys paycheck and he does not know why! He tries to fight it, but because of how society perceives men, it is going to be extremely hard to fight it.
Now, she is getting this weekly paycheck, she feels no remorse about what she did, knowing why and how she did it. While she is gaining, the poor guy who actually has a family that he takes care off, has to suffer. Now, when he finds out that the garnishments are from child support and he files a petition for a DNA and it comes back negative, would the child support payments stop? Not in most cases....whether or not he is the father, once those payments are garnished there is no stopping...because it is at the "best interest of the child."
Now, for the women that do this, is it really at the best interest of the child or is it just greed on their part? Is it because maybe the real father is unemployed and she needs more money coming in? Is it because she feels that he is obligated as a man to help her raise a child that is not his? Is it because women in this society has been given too much leeway? too much freedom? too much sympathy? What is it? Please tell me because I have never been more disgusted then I am right now!
